Wałcz County, in partnership with the Science for the Environment Foundation, is implementing the project entitled „For Us, There Are Still Too Few Jobs – Increasing the Employability of People with Disabilities at the Wałcz County Vocational Activity Center”

The project implementer is the Wałcz County Vocational Activity Center.

The project is being implemented under the European Funds for West Pomerania Program, co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus within Priority FEPZ.06 European Funds for an Active West Pomerania, measure FEPZ.06.13 Active Integration in the Region, type – 2.

Main project goal:

The main goal of the project is the active integration of a social and professional activation nature for 35 individuals residing in Wałcz County who have a disability certificate, particularly those with a significant or moderate degree of disability, by introducing new integration services for current PWAC employees and creating new reintegration places leading to increased employability by December 31, 2025.

Main tasks to be implemented within the project:

  • Social activation, including psychological support, career counseling, study visits, support from a socio-financial education specialist.
  • Professional activation, including skills training with a training grant and vocational internships with internship grants providing on-the-job training.
  • Professional activation for current PWAC employees by creating new services that have not been provided so far, including: a charity shop, a printing department, and a laundry with a hygiene barrier.
