The „Support for Advisory Initiatives (Wip)” Program is implemented by a partnership of 4 organizations: the Science for the Environment Foundation, the „Wiatraki Mazur” Association, the SMK Local Fund Foundation, and the Żywiec Development Foundation. The program is implemented throughout Poland, with each Operator covering 4 voivodeships to ensure equal access to the program for all interested entities. The „Science for the Environment Foundation” implements the Wip program in the following voivodeships: West Pomeranian, Pomeranian, Greater Poland, and Lubusz.

Program Objective

The objective of the Wip program is to support advisory organizations without legal personality through small grants for the implementation of advisory initiatives and to conduct animation and educational activities aimed at professionalizing, increasing the potential and sustainability of advisory organizations without legal personality by strengthening the competences and organization of local leaders and their activities. The activities supported under Wip are to ensure accessibility for people with special needs.

The partnership of 4 regional organizations will annually provide financial, animation, and advisory support to informal groups operating within non-governmental organizations, university law clinics, and diocesan and parish family counseling centers of the Catholic Church or other religious associations.

The topics of the advice provided may cover the following areas: legal, civic, psychological, family-pedagogical, consumer, health-promoting, professional, and/or ecological.

Addressees

The following entities can apply for grants:

  1. Advisory organizations without legal personality and informal groups – including university law clinics and diocesan and parish family counseling centers of the Catholic Church or other churches and religious associations – that cannot independently incur obligations.
  2. Informal groups consisting of at least three natural persons (adults with full legal capacity, holding a PESEL number) who plan to implement an advisory initiative and cannot independently incur obligations.

The groups mentioned above can submit an application through an intermediary organization, the so-called Patron, provided that none of the individuals belonging to the aforementioned groups can sit on the board of the Patron with whom they are submitting the application. Furthermore, members of the informal group cannot be related (by economic interests, political ties, family relationships, or other situations that could affect the impartial and objective resolution of grant competitions) to members of the Patron’s authorities or the Operator providing the grant.

The Patron can only be a non-governmental organization or an entity listed in Article 3(3) of the Act on Public Benefit Activities and Volunteer Work, whose statute clearly allows for the provision of advisory activities or activities in the area covered by the advisory topic indicated in the grant application. The statutory activity of the Patron must fall within the sphere of public benefit to which the initiative described in the grant application relates.

Implementation Periods for Funded Initiatives
