Project entitled „Region of Good Support” (project number: RPZP.07.06.00-32-P001/20), which is implemented by the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in partnership with Caritas of the Koszalin-Kołobrzeg Diocese, Caritas of the Archdiocese of Szczecin-Kamień, and the Science for the Environment Foundation. The project will be implemented from 01.04.2020 to 31.03.2023 in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

The project’s objective is to increase the availability of social services, in particular community and care services, as well as support services for people at risk of poverty and/or social exclusion. The main goal of the project is to ensure the availability of high-quality neighborly care services for 700 people in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship by March 2023.

The main tasks include:

  • establishing a Regional Advisory Point – remote, on-site and on-site counseling, training, self-help groups – for at least 400 people (actual caregivers of dependent persons and persons providing social services in the local community and candidates to perform these functions);
  • removing architectural barriers in at least 5 places of residence;
  • launching telecare tasks (IT platform, call bracelets), establishing at least 5 respite/protected/supported apartments (adaptation, equipment) in accordance with the principle of deinstitutionalization;
  • organizing neighborly care services for dependent persons (persons at risk of poverty and/or social exclusion M/F);
  • establishing 2 rehabilitation equipment rental shops;
  • establishing 21 volunteer points (in each poviat of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship);
  • conducting campaigns and activities activating local communities to employ neighborly caregivers;
  • activities aimed at preventing and combating COVID-19.

The project is aimed directly at the following target group: people at risk of poverty and/or social exclusion; actual caregivers of dependent persons and persons providing social services in the local community and candidates to perform these functions.
