ACTIVE SOCIETY
„Active Society” is a project co-financed by the Operational Program of the Civic Initiatives Fund and implemented in a broad partnership that includes: Sianów Commune, Biały Bór Commune, Manowo Commune, Malechowo Commune, Science for the Environment Foundation, Association for the Development of Sucha Koszalińska Village and the Sianów Commune Tourist Organization.
The undertaking was implemented in the period from 01.06.2009 to 31.12.2009 in the area of 4 rural and urban-rural communes of the West Pomeranian Voivodeship (Sianów, Malechowo, Manowo and Biały Bór). The aim of the task was to activate rural society by organizing workshops and training indicating the possibilities of rural development and activating rural residents to participate in the social life of their towns.
The result of the undertaken activities was the development of 18 Village Renewal Plans and the application for registration of 2 rural associations. The indirect goal was to create a platform for cooperation between organizations and institutions working towards rural development.
The task involved the organization of workshops for 270 people from 18 rural villages in the communes of Sianów, Malechowo, Manowo and Biały Bór. Nearly 360 hours of workshops were conducted for a group of 270 people. The issues raised during the workshops concerned, among others: the role of a social animator, social capital, a cooperating community, promotion of good practices, work on the Village Renewal Plans of the project as a method of work and a basis for obtaining funds.
The planned workshops were held in the following towns: Lejkowo, Paproty, Białęcino, Kosierzewo, Ostrowiec, Rosnowo, Kretomino, Kaliska, Grabowo, Kołtki, Kędzierzyn, Sowno, Szczeglino, Skwierzynka, Gorzebądz, Mokre, Dąbrowa, Grabówko.
