The project entitled „Help at Hand PLUS” is co-financed by the European Social Fund PLUS and the state budget under the European Funds for West Pomerania 2021-2027 program.

The main goal of the project is the development of social services provided in the local community in the form of neighborly care services (day and night) for people needing support in daily functioning in 10 communes in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship, belonging to the Special Inclusion Zone from 01.06.2024 to 31.05.2027.

The communes in which the project will be implemented are:

  • Manowo Commune,
  • Sianów Commune,
  • Bobolice Commune,
  • Polanów Commune,
  • Drawsko Pomorskie Commune,
  • Złocieniec Commune,
  • Czaplinek Commune,
  • Kalisz Pomorski Commune,
  • Wierzchowo Commune,
  • Mirosławiec Commune.

The project is aimed at people needing support in daily functioning, actual/informal caregivers of these people along with their surroundings, and candidates to act as neighborly care service workers residing in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in the above-mentioned communes belonging to the Special Inclusion Zone.

The following tasks will be implemented as part of the project:

– At least 100 people needing support in daily functioning will be covered by support in the form of neighborly care services (day and night). Neighborly care services are a solution that provides support and assistance in performing basic daily activities, e.g., help in preparing a meal, shopping, picking up a prescription, or help in cleaning an apartment, which allows, as far as possible, for independent living in the local environment, especially conducive to maintaining neighborly ties.

– At least 50 candidates for neighborly care service workers will be covered by support in the form of training and/or support from neighborly care service advisors.

– At least 50 actual caregivers providing care for people needing support in daily functioning and their surroundings (at least 30 people) will receive support in the form of: training in, among others, care, rehabilitation, first aid, support principles, care skills and/or specialist advice and/or support from specialists in supporting actual caregivers and their surroundings.

For the development of social services provided in the local community, the work of volunteers has been introduced as home helpers, supporting both people needing support in daily functioning and actual caregivers and their surroundings.

As an element of comprehensive activities and support in the process of providing neighborly care services, telecare has been introduced through the use of call devices (safety bracelets) and the work of tele-rescuers, receiving signals from bracelets at night and on public holidays.

The project will use proprietary telecare software (Good Support). Smartphones with SIM cards will be purchased for neighborly care service workers to use the Good Support application for work, which will increase work comfort, communication with care recipients, and their sense of security.
