Science for the Environment Foundation is implementing a project concerning the initiative “Development of the Energy for the Environment Cluster in Koszalin County” under Investment B2.2.2/G1.1.2 of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (KPO): RES installations implemented by energy communities, Part A (pre-investment support). The project aims to develop the energy cluster to achieve energy self-sufficiency by striving to ensure the improvement of the natural environment and the quality of life of residents in Koszalin County.

Simultaneously, the Foundation has submitted an application for funding for the following project:

Project title: Energy for the Environment – demonstration investment project of the energy cluster in Koszalin County. The “Energy for the Environment – demonstration investment project of the energy cluster in Koszalin County” assumes the construction, expansion, and installation of renewable energy source (RES) electricity generation facilities, along with accompanying infrastructure enabling the transfer of produced energy to energy storage or directly to energy consumers – cluster members, including the construction and installation of electricity storage. Project objectives: Additional RES electricity generation capacity of 5.6384 MW.

Planned installations:

  • In Koszalin County, the construction of 11 photovoltaic installations with a total capacity of 736.73 kWp and 49 energy storage units with a total capacity of 803 kW is planned.
  • In the Będzino Commune, the construction of 27 photovoltaic installations with a total capacity of 1079.98 kWp and 87 energy storage units with a total capacity of 1097 kW is planned.
  • In the Biesiekierz Commune, the construction of 10 photovoltaic installations with a total capacity of 340.71 kWp and 28 energy storage units with a total capacity of 331 kW is planned.
  • In the Bobolice Commune, the construction of 19 photovoltaic installations with a total capacity of 711.89 kWp and 59 energy storage units with a total capacity of 690 kW is planned.
  • In the Manowo Commune, the construction of 13 photovoltaic installations with a total capacity of 500.91 kWp and 40 energy storage units with a total capacity of 490 kW is planned.
  • In the Mielno Commune, the construction of 22 photovoltaic installations with a total capacity of 482.39 kWp and 44 energy storage units with a total capacity of 463 kW is planned.
  • In the Polanów Commune, the construction of 25 photovoltaic installations with a total capacity of 604.7 kWp and 49 energy storage units with a total capacity of 581 kW is planned.
  • In the Sianów Commune, the construction of 15 photovoltaic installations with a total capacity of 531.21 kWp and 41 energy storage units with a total capacity of 517 kW is planned.
  • In the Świeszyno Commune, the construction of 16 photovoltaic installations with a total capacity of 587.09 kWp and 48 energy storage units with a total capacity of 577 kW is planned.

Additionally, the development of 9 additional analyses and documentation related to the preparation of the operational phase. The project also envisages the implementation by the Science for the Environment Foundation of a comprehensive management support system, as well as 30 events related to communication, information, and the promotion of project effects.
